CAST
In Order of Appearance

"NANCY":
He doesn't know his real name, but was offhandedly given the nickname Nancy in episode 5, and it was just humiliating enough to stick. So far he's been knocked unconscious several times, made to suffer much pain and many indignities, and is bound to be scared out of his wits in almost every episode. He may just be the one character who most accurately portrays how most people would react to this situation.

RICK:
If the dream he had at the beginning of Episode 2 was actually about him, then it's safe to assume that Rick is this guy's name. Seemingly unaffected by his situation, Rick is a childish prick, who would just as soon mock anyone's ideas and question their sexuality than do or say anything helpful. Oh, he also may have been recently dumped by his girlfriend.

Backwards-Ass Guy:
So far, he hasn't remembered his real name, however, during a bad fall in Episode 18, he found that his lower half had been twisted right around. Unable to turn his legs back the right way. At least his head seems screwed on straight.

Man in White:
In spite of the torture and imprisonment he's been through, he also still has no memory of who he is or was, but he's a tough S.O.B., who doesn't take any crap, not even when being faucet-tortured by the sadistic ninjas.

BUDDY:
Buddy's not quite right. He's happy go-lucky, enjoys playing hide and seek, and somehow makes a lot of pop-culture references. Buddy is the only one who never did forget his name when he was changed and put in the room. Perhaps there's more locked behind Buddy's unfortunate skull facade?

RED NINJA:
Not much is known about any of the ninja. What we do know about Red is that he seems to have a thing for midgets and key-lime pie.

BLUE NINJA:
Blue works with Red most of the time, and they are equally powerful, and have equal moments of ineptitude. Blue thinks Phil Collins is a musical genius.

ORANGE NINJA:
Seems to be the leader of the ninjas. He and the other ninjas are trying to both control and extract information from the non-ninjas. He has an arrogant air of intelligence about him, even if he often doesn't really seem to know what's going on.

DEVIN:
Originally from London, Devin has taken up the position of leader of the group that arrived before Nancy, Rick, and the others. He has his work cut out for him.

CASPAR:
Not a ghost, but he certainly is friendly, Caspar is a mischievous latino firecracker, never afraid to push the homophobic limits of his comrades. His secret goal is to make out with as many of those sexy ninja boys as he can get his hands on. There's a slight possibility that Caspar is gay.

ROGER:
Roger is a quiet, conservative, no-nonsense kind of guy. He tries not to say too much, and stays out of the way as much as possible. It's like he's just biding his time...

ALEC:
When I think of Alec, I think of a young Dennis Hopper. With his wicked plastic mutton chops and laid back attitude, Alec has decided to have as much fun with the situation as he can, while still contributing to the group goal of figuring out what the hell's going on. Much of the fun he has comes from picking on Roger's straight-laced sensibilities.

SCOTT:
He looks like one, moves like one, probably even smells like one too, but Scott is NOT a ninja, or at least, that's his story. So far he's worked with the group well as their spy, but the urge to get away from the rest of them strikes him quite often.

LEAH:
The only break in the 'Cocktoberfest' that is the rest of the cast, comes in the form of an angry, tough as nails lesbian. Originally stranded with Devin and the others, Leah was kidnapped by the ninjas and placed in a rubbermaid cell that she now shares with the Man in White.

WHITE NINJA:
Originally from a deadly and stealthy clan of telemarketers, White is an incredible acrobat, fighter, and survivalist. He enjoys hurting people, coming back from near death experiences, and convincing old ladies to give him their pensions.

About misplaced:

misplaced follows a group of people who have found themselves transformed into 3.75 inch tall action figures, with little or no recollection of who they are, or why or how they got into this strange room. Working with each other (in some cases against each other) they hope to find out the truth about what the heck is going on.

This comic is 100% a labour of love, an excuse and justification for a thirty-something guy to play with and collect the toys that I loved so much as a kid. One christmas, a few years ago, I decided I didn't really need anything, and decided I would start collecting these action figures again, so I put a call out to friends and family, and they started coming in. Right about the same time, I was really getting into web-based comics, and while I had loads of ideas, my lack of adequate drawing skill kept me from realizing any of them. Then one afternoon, while arranging my toy collection in my den, the concept for misplaced just came to me, and the rest is history.

I always have very lofty goals to make this a comic that updates regularly, and conforms to what most webcomic fans and creators claim are the 'golden rules' of having one of these on the net, but seriously, I do this because it brings me a lot of enjoyment, not because I want to be respected in the webcomic community or famous. (I mean, seriously, it's a photographic comic, which already puts a few points against it ever being taken 'seriously' by those people anyhow)

With that in mind, I do try to at least go through several months at a time where I put up new episodes every week, or twice a week, and once a year, usually after a long break, I'll do a week-long 'marathon', with 5 new episodes in one week.

Thanks for taking the time to check out my little passtime. If you dig it, thanks, and if you want to support it, you can click on the vote links under the comic, or buy merch or donate whenever those things become available. If misplaced isn't something that floats your boat, that's cool, because the internet is lousy with comics now, so I'm sure you'll find something you do like. No hard feelings.
