About misplaced:
misplaced follows a group of people who have found themselves transformed into 3.75 inch tall action figures, with little or no recollection of who they are, or why or how they got into this strange room. Working with each other (in some cases against each other) they hope to find out the truth about what the heck is going on.
This comic is 100% a labour of love, an excuse and justification for a thirty-something guy to play with and collect the toys that I loved so much as a kid. One christmas, a few years ago, I decided I didn't really need anything, and decided I would start collecting these action figures again, so I put a call out to friends and family, and they started coming in. Right about the same time, I was really getting into web-based comics, and while I had loads of ideas, my lack of adequate drawing skill kept me from realizing any of them. Then one afternoon, while arranging my toy collection in my den, the concept for misplaced just came to me, and the rest is history.
I always have very lofty goals to make this a comic that updates regularly, and conforms to what most webcomic fans and creators claim are the 'golden rules' of having one of these on the net, but seriously, I do this because it brings me a lot of enjoyment, not because I want to be respected in the webcomic community or famous. (I mean, seriously, it's a photographic comic, which already puts a few points against it ever being taken 'seriously' by those people anyhow)
With that in mind, I do try to at least go through several months at a time where I put up new episodes every week, or twice a week, and once a year, usually after a long break, I'll do a week-long 'marathon', with 5 new episodes in one week.
Thanks for taking the time to check out my little passtime. If you dig it, thanks, and if you want to support it, you can click on the vote links under the comic, or buy merch or donate whenever those things become available. If misplaced isn't something that floats your boat, that's cool, because the internet is lousy with comics now, so I'm sure you'll find something you do like. No hard feelings.
